Associate Director - Employer Relations & Training
Responsibilities: Design, plan and deliver employer
relations and training programs to include
coordination of on- and off-campus employment
recruiting programs for students and alumni. Serve as
liaison between Seton Hall University and employment
community for identification of training needs;
coordinate, direct and deliver outreach programs to
the employment community, policy makers and other
educational institutions for promotion and
advancement of cooperative education/experiential
learning, career development and employment
recruiting.
Requirements: Masters degree and five to seven
years related experience in higher education,
employer relations or human resources.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of career
development, theory/practice, cooperative education,
employment recruiting, the changing workforce and
workplace and the competitive global job market.
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong presentation and
organizational skills are essential as is the ability to
effectively interface with multiple constituent groups.
A proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
and previous supervisory experience. Experience in
an advanced IT environment including the Internet,
and experience with 1stPlace! and Disc Resume
Professional preferred.
Information Technology Coordinator
Responsibilities: Coordinate information technology in
the Department of Career Services; maintain
proactive optimal use of technology to ensure services
to students, alumni and employers; identify, develop
and maintain the Department's information databases,
HP and WWW, Internet, on-line and Lan resources;
assist with the coordination of special projects and
events; conduct training and assist students, alumni,
faculty and employers on the uses of available Career
Services information technology relative to the
department's services and processes.
Requirements: Associates Degree or one-year post
high school business/technical school. Bachelors
degree preferred. The position requires computer
fluency, familiarity with information technology and
various software packages. Excellent interpersonal
communication skills and ability to interface with
multiple constituent groups essential.
