CHERIE H. FLORES ENDOWED CHAIR OF MBA STUDIES
DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT
LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY
The LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY Department of Management seeks applications
from Associate and Full Professors with a demonstrated balance of research
and teaching capabilities in behavioral areas of management and
organizational studies. Highly effective teaching skills in MBA courses
are especially important as primary teaching responsibilities will be in an
integrated core curriculum in the MBA program. Instructional experience in
areas emphasizing professional management skills and competencies in
managing change, conflict, negotiation, and decision-making is especially
desirable. Beginning in August, 1998, the appointment would require
evidence of an established research program and a doctorate in Management
or related area.
The William W. & Catherine M. Rucks Department of Management and the E. J.
Ourso College of Business Administration provide an excellent climate for
research and teaching. The Department provides collegial and financial
support for research. The College offers B.S., M.S., M.B.A., and Ph.D.
programs of study, all of which are fully accredited by the AASCB. The
College maintains strong ties with the business and public sectors of the
region. In addition, Baton Rouge and nearby communities provide numerous
cultural and recreational amenities that enhance the quality of life for
area residents.
