Hi! I'm a new subscriber and would like to introduce myself. I'm Harold
Greenstein, I teach at SUNY Brockport.
R. Bacal makes an important point about respect for intellectual property.
I would add that disrespect for intellectual property rights carries
with it a strong collective self destructive aspect, since we not
only disvalue the work of others outside the academy, but those of us
struggling inside the academy who, simultaneously, are attempting to
contribute to their field, establish a professional presence and not
unreasonably, add to their meager salaries.
In October, from the 13th through the 31st, I will be visiting Tokyo,
Hong Kong, Canton and Singapore, then conducting a workshop at the Internatio
nal Federation of World Training Organizations meeting in Kuala Lumpur.
I would be delighted to me my colleagues and associates at any of these
locations. My primary interests are in business ethics and conflict resolutio
n, and they connect to strategic planning/thinking, organizational developmen
t, team building, customer service and stakeholder relations.
I look forward to meeting you and to contributing to these discussions
when I think I might have something to offer.
