Clare,
Hi. I read with interest your introduction and am dropping you a quick
line to introduce myself and offer whatever I may in regard to your
research interest into workplace outcome assessments.
I have written a couple of books on this topic and am lecturing at the
University of New England on the assessment of human performance. The
crux of my work is aimed at developing processes whereby such assessment
is based on the needs of the organisation (in its own right and in terms
of its contribution to the community and environment in which it
operates) rather than on the needs of the education process or even
learning outcomes. I am going totally against the trend here in the
southern hemisphere and I suspect against what is being touted in the
US. So.....any time you'd like to swap ideas I'd be only too happy to
respond.
