    Hi List Readers!
Let me introduce myself first. I am an Aviation Consultant with Pakistan
International Airlines, a avid reader on Management and Economics, an MBA
student and a prolific writer. I am writing a paper on the topic of the
changing face of management in the Information Age. My main emphasis would
be on the "Information Businesses" i.e. the businesses that are in the
field of selling information. This makes a very interesting topic for
reading & research and a rapidly developing area. I intend to answer the
    following :

    a) Is the Management profession going to experience a major change in
terms of the type of challenges and qualities required.

    b) Analyze the Management Practice in information Businesses and compare
them with those in traditional manufacturing concerns with an eye on the
core functions of Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Leading and Controlling.

I would love to have a discussion on the list and have comments,
experiences and feedbacks by anyone and everyone who chooses to do so.

    Thanks,

    Athar Osama
