Issues need to be debated but I think this issue on who should be on
the list or who should not be is overdebated. Charlie Wankel has already
posted several messages assuring everyone. And to those who are
concerned about "consultants" or "practitioners" on the server, let me
share this with you. I have jointed this group only a week ago. I
posted a simple question on org. restructuring, and I benefited
immensely from several inputs Many of those who responded are NOT
academics. Thank you everyone.
And to fellow academics: we are being to asked by our stakeholders to
be relevant. May be we should open up and talk to them instead of
looking only for academic inputs or benefits (surely academic discussion
is helpful but I think we should be a little more broad minded). We can
think of how we can communicate our ideas and concepts to the
practitioners out there. May be this kind of a forum can help both
parties in talking in the same language.
