Perhaps the Instructional Systems Design Model is outdated.

Gosh, Bob, I certainly hope not. Yes, there are lots of new tools and
techniques available to trainers including many that you mentioned.

However, after 30+ years in this business, I think the old tried and
true ISD model still serves trainers well and is compatible with most of

    the newer ideas.

The ISD model really is structured approach that helps trainers
understand the steps necessary to produce, deliver and improve the
training process. This simple six step model provides a framework to
help trainers understand how they go about their work.

BTW, did you know that the International Organization for
Standardization has recently published (August of this year) its
guideline for application of the ISO 9000 standards to Training and
Education Organizations? The guideline interestingly enough is based

    on the ISD model.

ISD may have been around for a long time, but it certainly isn't dead.
    :-)

For the unenlightened please go over the six steps
and supply URLs of great training examples based
    on this model.

    I too believe in ISD.
