    Thomas,

    Most of us on this list aren't in typical employer-employee relationships
    even if we are actually employed by someone. Therefore, I'm afraid your data
    from this group wouldn't reflect the workforce at large. Just a comment.

    My expectations of my employer:

    1. To be fair and consistent with the treatment of ALL employees
    2. To pay a fair wage
    3. Respect and value me---recognize what I do
    4. Reward me appropriately when I exhibit behavior that reinforces our
    company strategies and values
    5. Do not discriminate
    6. Do not have favorites
    7. Communicate often the vision of the company.

    If they do not do these things, I will discuss with the appropriate people.
    If that fails, I will look for employment elsewhere. WHy? They do not share
    the same values that I do and ultimately it would not work for me to be
    there.
