Charles,
The recent book by Robert H. Schaffer is excellent. Sorry I cannot be more
specific but I just discovered that my copy has disappeared. He also wrote
The Breakthrough Strategy,
Using short-term successes to build the high performance organization,
Ballinger Publishing, 1988, so maybe you can foretrack from there.
I strongly encourage a session on ethics, as well. Both the ethics of
consulting and the consultant as an encourager of ethical behavior by
managers. Search for the Center for Ethics with your favorite web engine.
Hope this helps. Sorry I do not have more specific pointers handy.
