    Dear Cybercolleagues,

I'm looking for some information on a training programme on information
issues, namely identifying information sources, assesing the value of
information, analysis and synthesis of information and dissemination of
    information.

I'm currently running an Information Centre in management development field
and such a training programme will be a real help for me.

Any help on this issue will be apreciated in advance.

I'm currently working on a project request from my company to identify New York
City Universities that have a broadcast TV program. I'm looking to establish an
internship program for our new internal broadcast network. Any suggestions or
contacts would be appreciated. Emails will be great for starters.

    Colleagues,

We can make a real difference. Let's do it in 2012.

Thank you very much. I've read your work and cannot believe that our field does not help people enrich their most valuable possessions--their interpersonal alliances with family,  employers,  coworkers, and friends. We have research that works on boss and worker interpersonal relations, but we do not generalize it and use it to improve people's  quality of life.  At my age I, I finally appreciate what counts in a life and it is long-lasting and strong life alliances with other humans. It makes us loving beings. Think about how I-O Psychology could make a difference internationally. We don't kill our loved ones. Rather, we protect and serve them by watching their backs and helping them to lead meaningful lives. What do you think? I preach too much about this.

    Thanks George,

I know your LMX theory has resulted in applications with impact. About ten years ago I applied LMX to develop a protocol for how students with disabilities could become better integrated at work. At the time, rehabilitation specialists were ignoring how people form relationships at work.  I have a paper on disability and LMX ( Colella, A. & Varma, A. (2001) The impact of subordinate disability on leader-member exchange dynamics. Academy of Management Journal, 44, 304-315.)

Asking people about their impact has become a really interesting exercise-we all know the theory, but we do not know how others are applying the theory.

I appreciate you sharing your work. Hopefully I can weave all of this into a talk for SIOPJ
