Dear Group:

I need and appreciate your assistance with a graduate school course
project. I need 10 "real life" cases in which decision tree analysis
was used to determine the most effective (i.e. capital commitment,
cost, human resources, materials, process, risk, time, etc.) course of
action. Analysis with decision rationales and decision tree diagrams
would be greatly appreciated. Any field of endeavor is welcome.

I am currently studying decision tree analysis. My project is to
present the essential elements of each case in a course paper and to
the class. I will keep any and all proprietary / confidential
information for each case provided for my project confidential.

I need the information between 11/03/97 and 11/07/97. I prefer to
receive your analysis in electronic format by e-mail, html, ftp, or
fax. I can also accept your analysis submissions by snail mail.

I don't think I am precisely answering your question, however, if you are
studying decision trees, I want to make sure you are familiar wirth a
wonderful deicision tree I have used with clients, that is taught in a course
from Kepner Tregoe, called Managing Involvement. It is a tree used for
deciding what level of involvement by ohers is appropriate in making a
decision...i.e., when is it appropriate to resolve alone, when do you
question others, when do you consult with other individuals, when do you
consult a group, and when do you resolve as a group...based, of course, on
the variables within the decision.
