To the person who inquired after the meaning of the concept "key
success factors":
The concept, as used in the strategy literature refers to specific
industries and what each company in the industry must do in order to
be successful. I quote from Thompson and Strickland's text,
_Strategic Management Concepts and Cases_ eighth edition, page 84: "
An industry's 'key success factors (KSFs)' are the strategy-related
action approaches, competitive capabilities and business outcomes that
every firm must be competent at doing or must concentrate on achieving
in order to be competitively and financially successful."
I hope this helps.
