This year in addition to mailing your paper/symposia in for the Academy
of Management annual meeting (San Diego, Aug. 9-12) if you have the
capability you must also enter the title page information and abstract
at a
special website. If you don't have the technical capability to comply
with
this just write a note in your cover letter explaining that. Check out
all
the details on how and where to send your papers etc. at that special
website:
http://aom.pace.edu/meetings/1998/
The deadline for submissions is January 7, 1998.
The Academy's Management Education and Development Division
solicits papers on management teaching and management development.
Of course, interesting presentations that some of our 10,000 members
will
want to attend are what we're after. Describe new approaches and
technologies
to teaching. Write a polemical paper on what the values underlying
management
education should be. Write a paper on how senior executives can be
facilitated
in leading their organizations to new corporate cultures. If you wish
to discuss
the appropriateness of a particular topic, please contact me anytime.
