Does anyone know of a masters program in conflict resolution or mediation? My
partner and I are creating one and we would like to see what exists.
    Thanks!

    Hi Barbara,

I am vairly certain that Syracuse University offers a program in conflict mediation and there's also an undergraduate program here at The Sage Colleges, which runs under the Allies banner. You can contact the program coordinator, Chrys Ingraham throught e-mail at ingrac@sage.edu or by phone at (518) 244-2455.

    Good luck.

Expanding on Barb's request, I understand there are certification programs
around the country for doing volunteer mediation/conflict resolution. I am in
west/central Ohio. Does anyone know of one near me? Even a master's would be
considered, although been there/done that enough!

Antioch in Yellow Springs, Ohio, has a highly regarded masters program.
    Mostly/entirely non-residential, I believe.

It is not that close to Central Ohio, but there is one called the Center for
Conflict Resolution in Chicago. It is at:
    11 E. Adams, Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60603
    Phone: 312-922-6464, Fax: 312-922-6463
    Exec. Dir. Brad Ginn

I took the course. It is 2 days for each of two weeks (4 days, 32 hours) for
$750 or as a volunteer, it is $80 and you are expected to volunteer for the
center as a mediator for a year. It has a great reputation, however, only 50%
of grads are considered skilled enough to mediate immediately. I guess it
takes something coming in. Hope this helps.
