    ETHICS IN THE WORKPLACE -- a challenging subject.
    It's much more than
    * cutting down on "shrinkage" and vandalism;
    * keeping the company out of the courtroom;
    * reducing grievances and improving morale;

    Ethics in the workplace requires serious THOUGHT.
    But DOING ethics in the workplace requires readiness for ACTION.
    So, this is a MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP -- online -- designed to help people to
    be more ready to anticipate ethical traps, to prevent ethical dilemmas, and
    to help build ethics-friendly organizations.
    Course starts January 21 and runs 8 weeks. Transferable graduate credit.
    Check our Web site.

    "ETHICS ONLINE" is the street-name of this unique course.
    Officially it is "Ethics and Managerial Choices", a graduate course for one
    credit (fully accredited).

    * ETHICAL DILEMMAS are broken down. Methods are developed.
    * The structure of the "ETHICS-FRIENDLY ORGANIZATION" is studied.
    * Students' own problem situations are analysed in working groups.
    * The vast resources of the web in ethics are tapped into.

    All this we do online, asynchronously, at your convenience, but there is
    plenty of 2-way interaction to churn up everyone's thinking processes. All
    online courses are not equal. This one has been polished over three prior
    runs (not counting pilot projects) and has earned student applause. We
    developed it at an institution known for its expertise with adult learners
    and all kinds of learning-teaching methods (Lesley College in Cambridge,
    Mass).

    This course is intended for:
    * anyone interested in ethics in the workplace -- incl. the chance to
    consult others on tough problems;
    * anyone who wants to experience a fine example of learning via Internet;
    * anyone looking for a management elective of 1 - 3 credits (1 cr. for the
    course plus optional add-ons by indep. study);

    The web site includes links to many great ethics resources on the web -- as
    well as much info. about the course, including cost and registration
    details. Please take a look and tell a friend.
