    Welcome Brett--
I've developed a peer appraisal instrument called the Learning Partner
Rating Scales that I use in any class involving teamwork. The instructions
are found at http://ubmail.ubalt.edu/~ekemery/lp/lprsi.htm, and a link to
the scales is on this page.
I've used this process for about three years now, and it gets favorable
reviews. I think it is useful because it sets up teamwork expectations on
the first day of class, reinforces them throughout the semester, and then
provides for student accountability at the end of the semester (I base a
portion of student grades on the last evaluation). It also gives students
hands on experience at performance appraisal, peer review, and giving
    feedback.
Feel free to use the scales -- and I'd appreciate any feedback from you.
    Cheers--
    Ed Kemery
