We are a medium sized training and consultancy organisation in the
turbulent IT world, based in the Netherlands. We consist of 50 highly
educated employees. Currently we wish to more systematically facilitate our
employees in developing themselves in line with their own ambitions and
    with the organisational ambitions.

Some of our starting points are:

The employee is responsible for its own development
Management facilitates through time and resources.
Developmental activities need to aim at knowledge, skills, and attitudes
It needs to become an integral part of organisational procedures

One of the instruments we are thinking of is: Personal Development Plan or
    Contract for Learning.

    I have the following questions:

Does anyone has experience with applying such an instrument?
    What are possible pitfalls?
What are building blocks of such a plan of contract?
How should it be designed and implemented?
How should it be applied and used?
    Any other hints and tips?

I will post a summary of the answers back to this list.

    Kind regards,

    Michel Hofman
