MgEdDvers,
Thanks for the intensity of your interest in the Management
Education and Development Discussion Group. I'd like to
comment on your latest comments.
If you are interested in topics different from the ones
you see--start a thread on what you interested in. What can
I say if you silently lurk muttering that people like you don't
post threads about the interests of people like you.
It is not a good idea to send "ditto", "me too", and other
such very low-content messages to us all. Rather carefully
send them to the authors of the messages that resonate with
you. This will foster your networking with them and certainly
be appreciated by them. Of course, any kind of personal
communication (e.g., "Jane, please send me a copy too") should
be only directed to the target person not to the mg-ed-dv
address. Some have recommended contacted other members
to engage them in private conversations. Certainly, networking
is one use of the group.
Again, I don't plan to divide the group. Indeed, many
management professors also do management development
too.
As to the difference of 1998 technology of discussion lists
being inferior to face-to-face communication, you can bet
on this kind of group being closer to face-to-face communication
in a nearer future than you might imagine.
A digest option is available. I don't edit it but rather it is
created by the listserver software. To receive only a daily
complilation of messages send to:
