Dear Teaching Colleagues-
what text(s) would you recommend for a graduate level course in Management
and Organization? I've been told that the text I have been using will no
longer be available. I'll summarize replies for the list.

I'd recommend _Supervision_ by Gregory Bounds and John Woods (South-Western, 1997).

Perhaps knowing the official course description adopted by the
university would help us help you. For myself, I see the two topics you
list as separate foci; i.e., separate courses, but not irreconcilable.

Dear Jane, If you want an Organization Theory text than I would recommend:

Gareth Morgan's book, "Images of Organizations" or as a more traditional
text, Gareth Jones "Organization Theory."

If you want an OB test, I would recommend: Steve Robbins "Organizational
Behavior" or John Schermerhorn, Jerry Hunt, & Dick Osborn's text of same name.

In addition, there are lots of good readers out there. Good luck, Kim Boal
