In response to Haya's question on the impact of a manager's mood. I
remember a quote I once read. I apologize for paraphrasing it here. " When
I was an employee and had a bad day, my colleagues would tell me not to
worry and it's only one day. Now I am the manager and when I have a bad
day everyone wonders about the problem and worries about the outcomes. I
can't have a bad day anymore."

Haya, I'll look through my collection and see if I can find it. If so,
I'll forward the information to you. Perhaps someone else recognizes it.

Haya: I have been working with a consulting company here in Mexico, run by
Fernando Flores, a Chilean, in several countries. He has written several books,
among them "Designing organizations for the future", the latest is "Disclosing
new worlds" with Charles Spinosa and Hubert Dreyfus. In his writings Flores
speaks extensively about the impact of the emotional state ("mood"on the
effectiveness of the manager. Hope it is of some help, Pablo Buitron.
