Is there some reason this session is meeting at the same time as the new
OCIS/MED panel on "Innovative Uses of IT in Mgt. Ed"??

I developed the concept before your symposium was submitted. Originally it
was an MED event but Dunbar, Eisner, and Garud catapulted my workshop and
panelists into a Board of Governors sponsored All-Academy framework that
they developed. Previously they signed on as panelists in my workshop. As
MED Program Chair, I was precluded from submitting something to the MED main
program and thus turned my attention to the professional development
workshops. Sunday morning is the hottest time for the PDWs and the Board of
Governors have clout in scheduling. I am sorry if this sponges up some
people who otherwise might have attended the OCIS/MED other session. As MED
Program Chair that is dismaying to contemplate since I decided to drop MED
sponsorship of the E-Media session. What I recommend is doing what I am
doing. That is, advertising your session on the net and with handbills and
posters in San Diego. Oh, by the bye, I am complimented that you think my
    session is attractive.
    Best regards,

Thanks, Charlie. This area is of great significance to the younger profs in
our profession. AOM still struggles with the importance of this area. AACSB's
Learning Technology conference on 5/27 will have an important panel on
intellectual property and "cyberprof" rights. (Unfortunately this is techies
talking to techies) The technology clearly has the capability of reducing the
ratio of profs to students someday-and yet strengthening the quality of
    mgt.ed.

Hopefullly your session will recognize these important topics and reflect the
    concern
    of tomorrow's faculty.
