Please excuse cross postings, you may be on multiple listservs that this
message got posted to.
Is'nt it ironic that we teach environmental courses much the same
environmentally-wasteful ways as we teach all other courses. Well, here is
a paperless and money-saving way to teach environmental management to
students and employees. A fully customizable and interactive course with
all teaching materials and case studies online is posted at:
http://www.esocrates.com/Outlines/EMModules.html
You can use any of the modules in this outline to create your own online
course. Socrates provides instructors a Free Web site for their very own
course (www.esocrates.com), if they do not have one already. Or you can link
these modules to your EXISTING course Web site. Or Socrates can teach this
course for your Distance Learners or employees.
The course Bulletin Board allows you to engage environmental managers and
environmentalists from around the world in conversations. We supply you
email listservs of environmental groups, and environmental managers to
create this conversation as part of your class.
Eliminate expensive textbooks for your students. Socrates online materials
cost them only $39.95 for the semester.
Enrich your course with thousands of environmental resources links embedded
in Socrates courses. The clickable Map of USA with pollution emitting
facilities and their pollution history (from EDF) kept my students engaged
for 3 weeks researching the pollution in their own neighborhoods. And the
environmental humor links will wear the doom and gloom edge off your
environmentalist posture. How many environmentalists does it take to change
a course outline??
And please consider contributing a module or case study to our pool of
online materials. This is a collaborative venture. We are looking for
modules on practical techniques of environmental management (ISO 14001,
Environmental Management Systems, Product Life Cycle Analysis, Pollution
Prevention Programs, Design for Disassembly, Manufacturing for the
Environment, and others).
Please post this message on your organization's listserv.
