Assistant/Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management
<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Fairfield</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype></st1:place> invites applications for a tenure track position in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management to begin in the Fall 2009 in the Charles F. Dolan School of Business (AACSB International accredited). The successful candidate will be expected to take a leadership role in the development and growth of the entrepreneurship program at <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Fairfield</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype></st1:place>. The position's responsibilities include teaching courses in both the areas of entrepreneurship and strategy at the undergraduate and MBA levels. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: a Ph.D., DBA or equivalent from an AACSB accredited program; experience and excellence in teaching in the areas of entrepreneurship and strategy; a record of scholarship and research in the areas of entrepreneurship or strategy; commitment to cross-disciplinary collaboration and collegiality; commitment to developing innovative and creative classroom educational experiences, particularly in the area of entrepreneurship; willingness to develop student/business collaborative networks; and commitment to service to the department, school of business, university, community and profession. Relevant managerial experience in organizations is desirable.
<st1:placename w:st="on">Fairfield</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype>, an independent Jesuit comprehensive university, is located one hour from <st1:city w:st="on">New York City</st1:city> and less than three hours from <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Boston</st1:city></st1:place>. The University's scenic 200-acre campus is situated near Long Island Sound and serves approximately 3,100 full-time and 1,100 part-time undergraduate students, and 750 graduate students.
