Folks, unfortunately the original poster cross-posted the original
questions to a number of lists using cc's. This is considered really
bad form, and causes problems for list managers because it create
error messages.
If a person replies and it gets sent to each of the lists, if the
responder isn't a member of the lists, error messages get generated.
I'm told it's a real pain. It also messes up dialogue, because some
posts aren't going to go to all the lists and some are, depending on
who is a member of what. Those of us subscribed to all of the lsits
are getting six or seven copies of each reply.
Here's the deal. When you respond, respond ONLY to the list the
message came into your mailbox from (presumably you are subscribed to
it). Second, if you need to cross-post messages to a bunch of lists,
NEVER use the cc. but send it individually to each list.
That solves the problems and creates the chance for decent dialogue
which doesn't create problems for others.
