FINAL CALL FOR PAPERS:
THE ASSOCIATION ON EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES AND PRINCIPLES (AEPP) Invites you
to its 1998 national annual conference, to be held in San Francisco,
California, October 8-10. The conference theme is: EMERGING
ORGANIZATIONAL VALUES: FROM CONCEPT TO CONDUCT. Please also check our
website at:
http://www.aepp.com
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS are:
Dr. Ellen Switkes, Assistant Vice-President-Academic Advancement,
University of California, "Higher education Without Affirmative Action"
Professor Larry Pate, University of Wisconsin-Madison,
"Ethics and the Future of Management Thought"
Gideon Malherbe, President of Virtual Consulting and Visioning,
"Developing Leadership through Language Gaming and Time Span of Decision
Making"
An INTERNATIONAL GUEST SPEAKER, from New Zealand, is Jo Tuffield, Resource
Manager, Ministry of Research, Science and Technology on "Strategic
Directions and Enmeshed Values: A
Program for Change"
It is anticipated that other international speakers will be from Australia,
the Netherlands, and South Africa.
AEPP is dedicated to providing a national and international forum for
professional development, networking and social interaction among
academics, consultants, executives and practicing managers. AEPP
encourages the expression of ideas and experiences that challenge
conventional wisdom and it encourages creativity in organizations within
the context of the highest levels of ethical principles and practices. A
special feature of AEPP conferences is the active linking of like-minded
academics and practitioners, with a view to joint future presentations
addressing their common concerns. Discussions of ethical dimensions of a
topic are most valued, and creative insights to old problems are especially
welcomed, as are innovative works that preempt and provide practical
solutions to existing and emergent problems. Academic papers and
practitioner presentations must be original and promise scholarly or
practical contribution to the field. Accepted papers will usually be
published in the Proceedings. Awards will be made for the most outstanding
paper from a scholar, a practitioner and a graduate student. Proposals for
workshops, round tables, papers, panels, and symposia are also invited.
Academics: Please submit detailed abstracts of papers-in-progress, or
full papers. Practitioners: Please submit details of presentations.
The deadline for receiving papers, detailed abstracts, or proposals
for 1998 publication is May 1; The deadline for receiving other papers,
