Hello fellow listserve members! I've jut recently joined this list, and
have found the messages (and archives) extremely helpful.
I'm updating an MBA (part-timers) HRM course, and was hoping to
get some recommendations regarding recent texts (since 92 or so)
that would serve as a good foundation for the course. I've searched
the archives, but did not find a related thread.
The course is heavily biased toward readings (recent articles) and cases,
but is in need of a text that would quickly cover the basics in
each core "function" (it is a "survey" course). I should note,
this is an 8 week "mini course", so large texts are less ideal.
I'm entertaining not only standard "textbooks" but more
practitioner-related books as well. Finally, the focus is on
HRM for aspiring managers, not HRM specialists.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! While I'm taking-up bandwidth,
I'm looking for updated case studies, exercises, and videos as well.
Thanks for your help,
Neta Moye
