Assistant/Associate Professor Human Resource Management
Utah State University invites nominations and applications for the
position of an Assistant or an Associate Professor in Human Resource
Management.
Qualifications: Required minimum qualifications included (1) a Ph.D or
DBA in human resource management or related area; (2) an established
or emerging research record in human resource management; (3) a
demonstrated ability to integrate across business functions; (4)
demonstrated excellence in teaching at the collegiate level; (5) the
ability
to work productively and cooperatively with students and colleagues;
(6) the ability to teach in a secondary area, preferably either
employment
law or general management; (7) a doctoral degree completed by August
2001.
Duties: Tenure track position. Teach undergraduate and graduate
semester courses in human resource management and related areas,
conduct and publish research, and participate in university and
community service.
Salary and Benefits: Competitive.
Department: Management and Human Resources (MHR) is one of five
departments in the College of Business. The Department offers
bachelors degrees in management and human resource management, a
masters degree in human resource management, and teaches
management related courses in the MBA program. The College is in the
process of seeking approval for a PhD program.
University: Utah State University was founded in 1888 as the land-grant
institution within the public education system of Utah. USU is a
Carnegie Doctoral Extensive research institution, with a student body of
approximately 16,500 undergraduates and 3,000 graduate students from
all 50 states and 80 foreign countries. There are 44 academic
departments
with 850 faculty in eight colleges. Forty-three of the university�s
departments offer graduate programs, with 100 masters and 34 doctoral
degrees. USU is located in Logan, Utah in a beautiful mountain valley
approximately 80 miles northeast of Salt Lake City. The ski resorts,
lakes,
rivers, and mountains in the area make it one of the finest outdoor
recreation environments in the nation.

philosophy,
research interests and research agenda for the next three years along
with a detailed resume highlighting scholarly accomplishments, evidence
of teaching excellence, and the names of three references to Dr. Glenn
McEvoy, Search Committee Chair, at the above address. This position
will remain open until a suitable candidate is identified.
