    JMM - THE INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL ON MEDIA MANAGEMENT

    The International Journal on Media Management focuses on the rich array of
    media
    related issues brought about by rapid technological developments in the
    media
    and communications industries.

    Our goal is a close analysis of new industry structures, organizational
    forms,
    and critical competencies developing as a result of reconfigurations in the
    media value chain. We want to bring together academics and industry figures
    to
    explore the transition from >classic< to >new< media and identify the
    factors,
    which will determine organizational success and economic efforts in a fast
    changing and converging environment.

    The JMM observes the following issues closely:

    - Strategic, Managerial, and Organizational Aspects of the Media Sector and
    the
    Media Industry
    - Economics of Traditional and New Media
    - Evolution of the Media Industry and Media Industry Segments
    - Technology, Infrastructure, User Behavior related to change in the Media
    Sector
    - Effects of New Media on Economy, Society, Politics, Law and Culture

    Currently we are in process of preparing the spring issue (issue 2 - volume
    3 -
    2001) of the JMM. We are interested in receiving your submission to the JMM.
    Articles which deal with one of the below issues are very welcome.

    Deadline for paper-submission: JUNE 30th 2001

    The Focus Theme of JMM�s summer issue will be dedicated to THE CONSUMER
    PERSPECTIVE, and related issues in (New) Media Economics and Management.
    This
    issue of the JMM invites papers to explore such topics as:



    - Consumer Markets, Behaviour Patterns and Models
    - Consumer Oriented Managment and Media Design
    - Ethical and Legal Issues Related to (new) Media Consumers
    - Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations in the New Media Industry
    - Consumer Research

    - Consumer Rights and Campaigns
    - Consumer Information Policies
