I would like to gather ideas concerning distance learning through community
colleges and universities. I am looking at this through a graduate students
perspective. What are some of the processes involved with setting up such
programs. Do the educational facilities usually pursue their 'customers'
and is there an increasing number of companies researching this idea?
Subjects of study are bountiful, from taking managerial courses to
completing degree work. Learning how to navigate the internet and use it as
an effective research tool would also be beneficial for certain employees.
An example would be a safety director gathering new information that maybe
was not accessible to him/her before. Would it be feasible for global type
companies to develop an inhouse type of distant learning program for their
