Hi everyone - I've got a colleague who is looking for a conference to
attend in or near to the U.K., in May or very early June (1999).

What conferences will be held that time frame that might be appropriate?
His areas areas are Strategy, Social Issues/Business & Society, Business
Ethics, Org. Theory. He is a case researcher, has several pubs,
and has a focus on strategy in the tobacco industry.

Your colleague might consider the 3rd International Conference on
Organizational Learning to be held June 6-8th, 1999, at Lancaster
University in the U.K. Two page abstracts are due October 31st, 1998, to:
Jill Roberts, Department of Management Learning, Lancaster University,
Lancaster LAI 4YC, UK [J.Roberts@Lancaster.ac.uk]. I'm told the
conference will be limited to 80 participants. Hope this helps.

There will be a Critical Management Studies conference in mid-July in
Manchester. Check with the conference secretary, Mrs. Mary O'Brien,
Manchester School of Management; e-mail: Mary.Obrien@umist.ac.uk. or
Professor Hugh Willmott (the "hr22" e-mail address above). It looks
excellent, with many streams according to discipline and interests.
