    Introducing Rohit Talwar

I'd like to introduce myself as a new subscriber to the list. My background is
in strategic change and transformation - typically working with
multidisciplinary teams to bring about whole system transformation. I have
worked on these projects as architect, facilitator, trainer and executive
    coach.

In June of this year I experienced a major 'point of departure'. I attended
the Fast Company Real Time conference in Monterey. At the event I met a number
of people with whom I felt I connected at multiple levels - intellectual,
spiritual and emotional. The connection was so strong that we have remained in
contact ever since using a listserver and web board. We are working on various
projects together and even had our first follow up meeting in Atlanta in
September where 18 out of a total community of 35 people gathered for a
weekend to work on a range of issues using the Open Space framework. We have
also started regular conference calls to ensure the energy levels remain high.
All of this is perhaps a long-winded way of saying that I am a convert to and
    strong advocate of virtual communities.

I got on so well with one of the people that I met at Monterey that we have
formed a business together - FastFuture. Our purpose is to help people create
and fulfil their dreams. At the organisational level this means working with
innovative individuals to help them generate and implement ideas that can
transform people, organisations, markets and industries. Much of our work is
done through participative processes. At the individual level we work as
career partners acting as coaches, sounding boards and talent agents.
FastFuture also acts as an incubator for people with ideas who want to develop
them to the point where they can be launched or presented to potential sources
    of funding.

The final and most critical element of our business is what we are calling
social ventures - serving the disenfranchised. This done by giving our time to
key causes, committing a proportion of our profits to specific social projects
and helping to match people with energy to causes that need their help.

Apologies for the length of this posting but I felt it important to share with
you my motivations and the source of my inspiration.

In case you were worried, my postings are not normally this long!
