dear friends
I faced the similar problem as jay when I tried to teach a group of
first year MBA students, rather the first semester, quantitative
methods: the basic fundamental concepts of mathematics like the number
system. being an engineer and an MBA myself unless we try to do some
real analysis where we try to frame the basic criteria for the variables
and equations we do not really use them. even in project management I
could not find time to use these though I thought. I think that is where
the academicians come in to give the theory to the industry and an
opportunity for experiential learning to the students.
