I have no time to think, now, but I am compelled to make a quick comment
about why some workers are better than others:
First of all, "Good/productive Worker" is usually defined by someone other
than the worker.
I have found in many years of entrepreneurship, that people are incredible
workers when they first have a strong character base (low ego or not self
centered, responsible, discerning, courageous, persistant, giving, honest,
etc), then they are doing somethhing they are good and and believe in, and
what they believe in is really there (no hidden agendas and they are involved
in the evolution of change), they will be above average workers.
Now, the judge of that person's work has to be of the same character. For some
people, no one will ever be a "good enough" worker. Perhaps they are not doing
enough "for" the one who is complaining.
This is something I think about daily. It usually comes back to 1. Why am I
attracting this kind of person?
2. Am I the perfect worker?
3. Why do I expect this of them? Because I don't want to do it?
4. Am I letting them in on what I am thinking/doing and why??
x and plenty more.
It comes down to hiring the people best suited to the job at hand (not the
best person) and being the best person to lead the effort.
