Hi
You may be interested to know that the FREE Leadership in Management
conference, hosted by MCB University Press, the British publisher of many
academic and professional journals, is still in progress on MCB's conference
site:
http://www.mcb.co.uk/services/conferen/sept98/lim/
Several fascinating papers and comments can be read on line, or downloaded.
They are on:
- Women leaders and women managers in the global leadership community
- Leadership in organizations providing social services and innovations
- The two faces of leadership - for beneficial and for damaging purposes
- Leadership, development and self-development - in a small organization with
highly distributed leadership needs
- An analysis of university programs in leadership
- Descriptions of two innovative approaches to teaching leadership in
university courses
- A discussion of an unusual leadership simulation
- A discussion of a new paradigm for management development, based on
questions about leadership issues
I hope you will take a look and join the discussion. If you have a paper on a
topic that fits this theme, and you would like to post it, let me know. There
is room for one or two more papers and, once a paper passes peer review, we
can add it to the conference schedule.
The conference Proceedings will be published by Career Development
International, one of MCB's Journals, Jeff Gold, editor.
We look forward to your comments.
Erwin (Rausch), convenor
