A number of people have sent me posts asking for more details on the Fast
Company Real Time conference I mentioned in my introduction and to request
details of other similar events in Europe. I've set out some information on
the Real Time and a forthcoming Strategic Planning Society event in London
which I designed - I serve on the Society's board. Although not quite as
freeform as Real Time - it will cover such themes as conflict transformation,
storytelling, humour, dialogue and cultural transformation.

    Fast Company Real Time
    =======================
Real Time looks like it will be a recurring event. The next one will be in New
Orleans - December 7-9 1998. The details can be found both in the latest issue
of the magazine and at their site
    http://www.fastcompany.com/realtime/neworleans/.

    The Innovative Enterprise

    November 24th - 25th 1998
    The Park Lane Hotel London

The Strategic Planning Society is a charity which focuses on promoting
innovation in strategic thought and action.

As organisations look to the 21st Century, the challenge of innovation is seen
as critical to ensuring survival, learning and growth. In this conference
leaders in strategic thought and action from across Europe will be gathering
to hear from and work with an eminent and provocative speaker panel comprising
business professionals, academics, thought leaders and practitioners from
Europe and the USA. Our experts will use a combination of seminars and
workshops to present leading edge cases, approaches, techniques and insights
on innovative practices to help organisations preparing themselves for
    business in the 21st century.

Key themes will include strategic innovation, cultural innovation, process
innovation, organisational innovation, technological innovation, creative
tools and techniques, conflict resolution and innovative approaches to the
management of knowledge, learning and change.

Don't miss this opportunity to share a powerful, stimulating and energising
learning experience with speakers from such organisations as BellSouth, GE,
3M, Electrolux, Scottish Life, Royal Bank of Scotland, Fortune Magazine,
McKinsey, the BBC, BT and Fluke Corporation.
