>Subject: Academy's ThemeSummit and Chicago '99 Conference
BULLETIN: About 20 division program leaders from the Academy of
Management attended a "ThemeSummit '99" meeting with 20 non-Academy
"friends" to discuss the theme for The Academy's August 1999
Conference in Chicago, "Change and Development Journeys into a
Pluralistic World." The event was held in Dallas last weekend
(October 23-24), thanks to a special grant from GTE Corporation, which
hosted the meeting.
Reports on the ThemeSummit meeting are available on the Academy of
Management's web page @ <http://www.aom.pace.edu > or the Management
General (MG) website @ <
http://www.mgeneral.com >. In fact,
ThemeSummit is the lead story in this week's edition of the MG web
page -- complete with text, photos, and audio.
If you want to keep up on ThemeSummit, you can subscribe to a free
weekly e-letter put out by Management General that summarizes the new
content published by this NON-COMMERCIAL website each week. To receive
the weekly e-letter, just send a one-word "ALERT" e-mail to < response
@mgeneral.com >. Any questions about ThemeSummit can also be sent to
this address.
Finally, I invite you to attend and participate in the August 6-11,
1999 meeting of the Academy of Management in Chicago. The deadline
for submitting papers and symposium proposals is January 8, 1999.
Please visit the Academy's web page for further information and the
Call for Papers. Thank you!
