    Hello,

There is a "360 SmartKit" on CD-ROM which is an exceptional resource for
anyone who wants to learn more about 360 feedback. Whether you're
exploring 360, getting started with a feedback program, or want to make
existing feedback programs better, this Kit is a wonderful resource.

It provides everything from 360-survey samples, Guidelines for preparing
and managing 360 projects, reproducible articles on
360, a 360 bibliography, PowerPoint lesson plans, scripts and files for
orientation briefings and feedback sessions....plus a whole lot more.

I'd be happy to forward more information to anyone who is interested.

    Hello,
I´m glad the topic of feedback came in the discussion. My school goes
through this system and also asks students openly for feedback. My
perception has been that this kind of feedback has been abused and has
caused some paranoia and people want to know student´s perception of every
move the school makes. My hypothesis is that, by observing others complain
we are creating a complaining culture in this organization. I would like to
    know your experiences /opinions.

If you would like some exercises to demonstrate the use of 360 feedback you can download them from my home page listed below. You will also find abstracts of (1) case studies in which 360 feedback was used, and (2) articles on how to use 360 feedback effectively. Hopefully, you will find this material useful. If you cannot find the referenced articles in your local libraries, send me an e-mail regarding which ones you are interested in, I will send them to you.

You mean it's the same in Mexico as in the U.S.? Which direction has that
    cultural phenomenon traveled?

While this is certainly a possibility, my experience in the business world is
just the opposite, depending of course on how the project is positioned and
carried out. The first step is identifying the behaviors subjects wish to
have feedback on. If there is no desire to know how our behaviors are
affecting others, and a willingness to look at improving those behaviors, then
the "complaining" hypothesis is closer to the truth. Our intent with 360
feedback is to begin the development of a feedback culture. When reports are
received, training and coaching begins on how to discuss the feedback and gain
additional feedback. Opening communication within organizations is one of the
best ways to improve performance and develop community. We tell people 360
feedback is a tool they can look forward to discarding when the feedback
    culture takes hold.
