    Hey, folks - got another excerpt I thought the list might find interesting...

    I've been given permission by John Wiley and Sons to distribute an excerpt
    from Daryl R. Conner's new book "Leading at the Edge of Chaos".

    This new offering from the author of the acclaimed management book
    "Managing at the Speed of Change" takes a close and decisive look at how
    organizational leaders, and those who want to *become* leaders can cope
    with today's turbulent business environment.

    The critical key, according to Conner, is in creating the "nimble
    organization" as the most effective way to adapt quickly to changing
    markets and variable market conditions. This excerpt includes the
    Introduction, and Chapter One, entitled "Execution, Execution, Execution."
    Conner asserts that the making of management decisions is the easy part;
    it's the execution that is a stumbling block for most leaders. In chapter
    one, Conner outlines his realignment process, which culminates in, you
    guessed it, execution. It's the effective implementation of the
    'execution' step of the process that separates the bulls from the bears in
    the new market.

    To get the excerpt just send mailto:jhart@tenagra.com with the subject
    line: "Send Chaos," and I'll reply with a text file.

    Thanks,
