Hello MG-ED-DV Listers,
I've just joined the List. I am interested in the topic of large group
meetings as a critical factor in the pursuit of successful change
management and executive development.
I am President of CoVision, Inc. -- a meeting facilitation business with a
focus on large group meetings. We provide to large organizations a unique
system for doubling the productivity of their most important meetings.
Outcomes include significant gains in organizational alignment, capacity
for strategic thinking and the practice of leadership.
Specifically, we marry process experience gained from 1,000 meetings since
1992 with a portable groupware system which we install and operate which in
turn allows for real-time, anonymous feedback to the major presentations
and deeper issues. It's the shortest path to any organization's "essential
discussions" -- those which, after having them, allow the organization to
jump forward.
The goal of these meetings is to "maximize mutual understanding" across the
leadership of the organization (in a relatively short period of time). All
subsequent discussions of strategy, design and implementation are thus
built upon the strongest possible foundation.
Over the past year, we have seen our direct clients shift from primarily
Organization Development consultants (both external and internal), to
consultants in Executive Development or Leadership Development or
Management Development. I can only surmise that the critical factor for
successful change management is shifting from "enable the organization" to
"first develop the leadership team."
I look forward to any discussion which these thoughts might stimulate ...
In council,
