  • 1.  'F' & 'D' grades in MBA courses

Our school currently has a policy of allowing a maximum of 3 'D' or 'D+'
grades (an 'F' grade is deemed as 2 'D' grades) for an MBA student in all
the 40 courses together. So when a student gets a fourth 'D' or 'D+' grade
(an 'F' grade is deemed as 2 'D' grades), he or she is asked to withdraw
from the program. We are now contemplating a change in policy.

I am interested in knowing the prevailing practices in other schools so that
we could draw some lessons and make an informed decision. Thanks.

I teach as adjunct faculty in only one graduate program. It's an MS
program. However, nothing below a C is even allowed. There are no "three
    strikes."
