Hi good day to you or is it good morning, - if its of any help or just for
information what is happening here in Scotland and England here is a very
brief outline for you done may I say rather quick - as I am a headless
chicken at the moment. So hope it does not create smoke (excuse the pun)
The attachments below are the new standards of the Training and Development
Award level III through to Level IV.
These Standards have been developed through collaboration of the National
Training Organisation (NTO) and Industry here in the UK.
The NTO's purpose is to work within industry and meet the needs of economic
requirements in re-skilling the educators who will and have the
responsibility of training the workforce in all occupational and the related
industry. Also the needs of different individual social backgrounds but in
the main to address the new global economy in e-commerce and the
implications it will have for jobs, people and employment.
There are specified NTO's for each industry who work with industry and
specify the standard's that are required for the industry.
The Standards attached have evolved through the past 20 years from the Adult
trainers Award through to Trainer of Trainer Award.
Which included the assessment, internal and external verification processes
i.e.
Assessors Qualification to assess the competencies against the set Standards
of the Industry which have been agreed by the industry up to a maximum of
two years due to the fact industry changes at a fast pace. The assessment
practice is applied by a qualified assessor who has at least three to seven
years experience within the occupational or industry roles.
Internal Verification to verify the assessment practice, ensure validity,
rigor and quality of competence and training requirements of the assessor
etc and to Liase with the External or moderation of the Awarding bodies
External Verification / Moderator to Verify the whole of the internal
verification process ensuring good practice and works for the awarding body
The new standards now address the needs required for economic growth they
now enable the educators to :-
Apply a Training Needs analysis
Design programmes
Deliver Programmes including ICT
Monitor and Evaluate Programmes
Total Quality Management Practice for management which cuts across to EFQM
And Knowledge Management if required
Addresses the Agenda of Literacy and Numeracy together with soft core skills
basic skills in problem solving communication working with others etc and on
line assessment practice
And more
These standards can be tailored to each individuals or organisations
requirement or needs
They are designed to meet the needs of the new e-commerce environment also
to manage change within Business Organisations Training Provision and
Education - although we have experienced barriers to the Educational
teaching in the past - as Lecturers have gone through the process of
Teacher qualifications etc and some not all have managed the change
unfortunately is still the chalk and talk.
These standards including external requirements are robust and also are a
requirement for any College/University/Training Provider must have in order
for accreditation for to certificate.
Different areas are being addressed here in Scotland than in England as we
have different needs both for our economy and geographical areas but the
standards are set to address all different needs and allow for application
in any area any country, industry or qualification.
The full standards including the performance criteria etc are available on
line to order at the link below if anyone requires more information
Have a good weekend
Kind Regards Iris
