Please note that you can obtain a new grant proposal self assessment
tool (GrantSAT) at no cost by completing an online form at a U.S.
Department of Energy Carlsbad Area Office (CAO) website operated by the
Westinghouse Electric Company of CBS, Inc:
http://www.t2ed.com
What does this tool have to do with management education and
development, you ask? An increasing number of management educators are
seeking grants from the federal government and private sources to fund
research. In addition, nearly all of GrantSAT is applicable to business
proposal development. CAO and Westinghouse offer GrantSAT and other
tools and materials free of charge to U.S. educational institutions,
non-profit organizations, government agencies, businesses, and
individual citizens through their joint technology transfer and outreach
efforts. Designed by an expert grant and business proposal writer and
evaluator, the 20-page GrantSAT helps grantwriters systematically
evaluate and improve their grant proposals using 75 criteria grouped in
nine categories: 1) General Style, Content; 2) Cover Letter, Executive
Summary; 3) Problem Statement/Needs Assessment; 4) Objectives,
Benefits; 5) Qualifications; 6) Methods; 7) Budget; 8) Evaluation; and
9) Conclusion, Attachments. GrantSAT provides feedback by criterion, by
category, and by the document as a whole.
We hope that you find the tool useful.
