MBA student's cyberian career advice

At the risk of getting my nose chewed on, I would like to comment on Warren
    Miller's response:

    1. "response to Prof. Pate was self-centered, rude, and arrogant"
can be viewed through a cultural lens. My experience with N. & E. European
students leads me to believe he was probably trying to be polite and didn't
realize that no response would be the smart thing to do. I try to give a little
latitude to those who have not grown up in our culture.

    2. I absolutely agree with Warren on the ending: "I wish you the
best of luck. But I'm equally sincere when I ask you to kindly direct
your job-seeking efforts to an appropriate forum. This isn't it."
I object to the lengthy resume and the thought of thousands more coming from
    other students.

Why the fuss? In this "forum", we can and do help each other out in a variety
of ways and I appreciate the general sense of community in this list. An
important element is a balance of contributions and assistance. We should not
become a free service provider to those who have not been active members.

Thus, I would expect that any of the management educators belonging to this
list (for more than a few days) would feel free to broadcast a brief one liner
like: "I am looking for a new mgmt educ position. If anyone might have helpful
info, email me privately at unemployed@xyz or look at my website
    www.unemployed...".
