    I am wondering whether other individuals have professional liability
    insurance for training and management consulting. If so, do you know of any
    company that specializes in it or any association that might offer a group
    coverage?

    Sandra,

    In response to your question regarding insurance. Just about any reputable
    insurance company will carry the type of insurance you might need. I have a
    policy through Nationwide. The coverage will depend upon your specific needs.
    As a sole proprietor you may only need non-performance coverage. If, however,
    you employee others or use rental equipment as part of your firm's mission then
    the coverage would be more expansive. It will depend upon your unique needs.

    Nancy - With 800-something people on this list and all of us knowing a
    Nancy or two, it's kinda hard for any one of us to know if we should
    respond or not. It would help if you would write personal notes to just
    the person you're trying to contact and not the whole list. If you're the
    Nancy that this one list member is thinking of, I'm doing great and, yes, I
    finished the Ph.D. about 20 years ago. But rather than write back to the
    entire list, I can be contacted at lpate@bus.wisc.edu Whatever the case,
