Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce our '99 online conference. Following
is a synopsis of the conference in which I hope you'll be interested
in participating as either a presenter or general participant. More
information is on line at the web address shown. Please excuse any
duplicate of this announcement as a result of posting to other lists
in addition to this.

The all-online conference is designed for professionals in education
who are interested in learning about and sharing ideas, experiences,

will be supplemented by other discussions hosted by volunteers from
non-presenter participants. The topics of these will be chosen by
the volunteer hosts prior to the conference.
CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS. The conference is soliciting 2,000- to
3,000-word papers or "equivalent" multimedia presentations that fit
any of the topic categories. A 100-word proposal should be submitted
by March 1, 1999. Following acceptance of the proposal, the finished
paper or multimedia presentation will be due by April 1, 1999. Papers
should follow current APA or MLA guidelines. For papers, any software
applications and reasonably sized GIF images are acceptable. For
multimedia presentations and additional information, please see the
conference web page (address shown above). A personal photo, biography,
and URL's to presenter publications will be requested.
CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS:
* Welcome, keynote, paper, and multimedia presentations online from
the comfort of your home or office at times of your choice.

and e-mail discussions -- opportunities for more interaction
than at travel-to conferences, including open educational and
social chat.

the expense of travel and accommodations or the need to cancel
classes.
