    Ruth and others:

    I use a similar case-writing approach in my MBA OB class, only I augment
    it
    by enabling another student to analyze a classmate's case; following
    this,
    the original case writer is asked to synthesize and develop a plan of
    action
    relative to their intuition and analysis (theirs and their classmates).
    I
    also do this using Blackboard, which lends itself to traditional as well
    as
    distance courses. Further, by allowing students to select which of
    their
    classmate's cases to work on, students generally read through several
    and
    get a sense of the trials and tribulations faced by a group of their
    peers.
