    Leon:
I went to the mg-ed-dv list archive:
    http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/mg-ed-dv.html
to reread your comment of February 26th (see below). Although it is
seemingly well-intentioned, it raises a number of issues for me. Though, I
actually know very little about universities in Turkey. I am sure that a
search of the Chronicle of Higher Education would provide you with such
information though. All countries including the USA have troublesome
issues. However, I think that it is impolite to ask people from other
countries in the context of our discussions in Mg-Ed-Dv about their "working
conditions, academic freedom, etc." It seems patronizing to a certain
extent. Also, email itself is not private in every organization and is not
the best medium to discuss these things. Certainly an archived discussion
group with more than 1100 people from Zimbabwe to Guatemala is not a
discrete forum either. I realize that where you are in Michigan you might
not have direct access to Turkish scholars but it really is best to discuss
these issues in face-to-face informal situations.
Like the USA, Turkey's great universities have many wonderful things and
some things that can be improved. I am most pleased to have several
management scholars from that nation in our virtual community.
Leon, let me thank-you, also, at this time for being one of the most
active, admired, and analytically cogent participants in Mg-Ed-Dv. Please
continue to share your cognitive acumen with us regularly.

THis raises a fascinating issue for me. Is there anyone
out there living in GUatemala? We'll be doing a short
    course in May in Xela.

    Cheers...
