I tried to access the Emerald database and gave up about 5 screens in. I never
did find out what journals they are offering, but might visit again if I have a
free hour to spend clicking away.

Many thanks to John for the feed-back. I shall get in touch with the providers
right away and let them know about the problem.

Unlike John I did manage to get in through the first few screens but
often found that the full text copy I wanted was labelled "Add to
Basket" - i.e. not all the database is available for free access. It's
also not easy to choose the right key words without some guidance.

    Hi All,

I was able to download three or four papers from Emerald data base. They
give access to some journals for free. In every journal issue, they have
also listed articles from other journals, which require payment to be
    downloaded.

But these last ones seem to be much more interesting than the free ones.
Besides, journals and authors are better known. But prices are absurdly
high. I am talking about prices in dollars, as Brazilian currency is now
worth half than it was two months ago and to use it as a measure would be
    quite unfair.

    John,
I was successful in subscribing to Emerald and received a verification of a 30 day
guest subscription to several journals. I suggest you contact the individual below
    with problem.
