I'm planning to do a study on the relationship between the color of one's

operationalizations of skin color or help me in my literature search?
Bruce:
A google.com search turned up:
http://www.apha.org/news/publications/journal/krieger.htm
which details a study which found that: "Skin color was not associated with
self-reported experiences of racial discrimination in 5 of 7 specified
situations (getting a job, at work, getting housing, getting medical care,
in a public setting). Only moderate associations existed between darker skin
color and being working class, having low income or low education, and being
male (risk ratios under 2).(Am J Public Health. 1998;88:13081313).
My favorite part of is that having darker skin moderately increases the risk
of being male!
