    Colleagues

    1. Dr. Charles Wankel has come up with another exciting Web exercise/project on "Virtual Reality to Delight Customers". It can be used in Marketing, Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Basic Management courses. Consider it for your course: It can be found at:
    http://www.esocrates.com/InstructorResources/VRProject.html

    2. Humor From the OMT-L Listserv: In the wake of the Exxon/Mobil deal and the AOL/Netscape deal, here are the latest mergers we can expect to see:
Hale Business Systems, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Fuller Brush, and W.R. Grace Company merge to become Hale Mary Fuller Grace.
Polygram Records, Warner Brothers, and Keebler Crackers merge to become Polly-Warner-Cracker.
3M and Goodyear merge to become MMMGood.
John Deere and Abitibi-Price merge to become Deere Abi.
Zippo Manufacturing, Audi Motors, Dofasco, and Dakota Mining merge to become Zip Audi Do Da.
Honeywell, Imasco, and Home Oil merge to become Honey I'm Home.

    3. You can now add images and graphics easily to your eSocrates site. See the online instructions for site customization, or go dierctly to
    http://www.esocrates.com/addgraphics.html

    4. When you teach a course with Web supplemented materials, do you have to spend a lot of time familiarizing them with the Web learning environment, and answering tech support questions? Are you running into a lot of students who do not have the necessary online learning skills. Here is a short 5 hour course they can take BEFORE they walk into your class. It will save you and them a lot of time and frustration. See brief description at:  http://www.esocrates.com/cgi-bin/socrates.cgi?learnonline

Please share ideas for online learning that have worked in your classes. Thank you.

    Paul

    Mg-Ed-Dv-ers:
Management professor Paul Shrivastava of Bucknell University just posted
some interesting teaching links to Mg-Ed-Dv. I appreciate his support of
the MED Division and of Mg-Ed-Dv. His eSocrates web-based teaching program
is the preeminent platform available for launching web-based courses.
Indeed I'm in my second term of using it. It doesn't require special
support on your campus or any advanced knowledge of programming to
implement. I heartily urge you to look into it by contacting Paul at
    shrivast@esocrates.com . Their main website is www.eSocrates.com .

With all due respect, case sensitivity is NOT an issue for the machine name
(www.esocrates.com) but MAY be (depends on the machine serving the document)
for what comes after that first /
